Industrial Control Systems (ICS) refers to a technology driven process control system used in industrial production, including the following:
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
- Systems Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
- Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
These types of systems are often used in energy power sectors, including nuclear, electric and gas, along with water, transport, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and many more.
Other systems include Building Management Systems (BMS), which are used to control and monitor various elements within a building. This could be the electrical equipment – lights, lifts and heating – or even ventilation and security systems.
Systems can range from a single control panel, to a fully distributed control system, which we design and build ourselves. The simplest control systems are usually panel mounted on a wall or on the machine. They can also be created to allow the operator to view the front panels and manually intervene if necessary.
Machine Automation
Automation is in our blood, so if you’re looking to create or update any kind of industrial control system, we can help.
We will design and build your bespoke control panels in our dedicated workshop. We carry out the installation, programming, testing and commissioning all the way through to completion.
Investing in automation or robotics is a strategic investment whereby a company moves from a manual production line to an automatic one allowing them to benefit from the following:
- Increased output
- Fewer overheads
- Precision
- Improved consistency
- Improved quality
- Increased efficiency
- Improved health and safety
- Operation optimisation
- Reduced costs
